Farmers Market
Every Saturday, 8am-1pm. Over 30 local vendors offering fresh produce, handcrafted goods, and homemade treats. Last year's weekly attendance averaged 750 visitors.
Summer Concert Series
Thursday evenings at Community Park. Different local bands each week. Bring lawn chairs and enjoy food trucks. Last year attracted over 1,200 attendees per concert.
Perlo Festival
August 9th-10th. Our biggest annual event featuring hay rides, corn maze, craft fair, and pie-eating contests. Last year's attendance: 5,400 people.
Our Local History
1843
Town founded by the Half family, who named it after a humorous mishap involving their prized bull named "Hell" who escaped and created havoc in the newly tilled acre.
1886
Railroad arrives, bringing prosperity and growth. The historic depot still stands as our town museum, showcasing artifacts from early settlers.
1901
St. Mary's Church built by community members. Its distinctive bell tower remains our town's most recognizable landmark and still rings every Sunday.
1972
Town's historic district established, preserving 28 original structures that now house many of our cherished local businesses.
